Piscine Global 2016 opens in a few days!
It’s the event that all the pool and spa professionals are waiting for: the 2016 edition of the Piscine Global exhibition, taking place on 15, 16, 17 and 18 November at the Eurexpo convention centre in Lyon. What’s in store? What will the highlights be? It’s all summed up here, a few days before the sector’s benchmark event opens its doors!
Piscine Global: 8 key figures
Piscine Global is one of the biggest and most important exhibitions in its sector, as many professionals from all over the world will confirm. These 8 figures prove it:
• More than 6000 professionals attend Piscine Global to showcase the benefits of their products and services to the industry’s key players;
• The exhibitors will represent more than 1200 brands at some 600 stands;
• The visitors and exhibitors come from 70 countries;
• 170 new exhibitors will join the ranks of Piscine Global this year. They include Amphibia, Luxe Pools, Aqua Idea and Gecko Alliance.
• In the Piscine Innovations area, more than 80 new products will be presented;
• Piscine Global is a French exhibition that also draws in large numbers of international players: it will greet 8 ambassadors…
• …12 international federations will be represented…
• …and 5 delegations (from Brazil, Martinique, Israel, Denmark, Senegal) will be in attendance.
Some very high highlights!
Piscine Global is much more than just a trade exhibition, of course. Three contests will be held, with the results announced between 15 and 18 November. These are:
• The Piscine Innovations Trophies: as its name suggests, this contest will reward innovations in the pool and spa sector that are remarkable from the technological and sustainable development standpoints;
• The Showroom Academy contest, which will shine a spotlight on best practices for designing an efficient sales outlet. You may remember, we talked about this a few weeks ago!
• The Pool Vision contest, which will showcase the creativity and technical skills of architects with a focus on the construction techniques, water treatment methods, accessories, liners and design features of pools proposed to customers. Since the beginnings of Pool Vision in 2012, more than 400 candidates and projects have been examined. This year, projects called “Deep Blue”, “Les sources du haut plateau”, “At the Beach” and “The Oberoi” are in the running. Which one will win? Find out during Piscine Global!
The highlights also include the theme days. They are on three themes, and they will take place on 17 and 18 November: the Specifiers’ Days, the Local Authorities’ Days and the Tourism and Leisure Establishments’ Day.
Last but not least, a few words about the Aquafitness Festival. This event showcases the latest aquatic fitness and exercise products within a setting evoking a real public swimming pool, offering opportunities to see innovations in action!
